KinderConnect Integration/Management Process
Utilizing the attendance tracking (check in/check out) information previously logged on Wonderschool, the integration with KinderConnect enables swift and seamless sharing of attendance records to your KinderConnect account. This eliminates the necessity for manual input of student attendance details and minimizes the chances of errors in data entry.
Sending Attendance from Wonderschool to KinderConnect
Initial Sign up process:
Step 1:
To start, contact the KinderConnect support team to obtain your integration and login credentials. You’ll need to request
- Your KinderConnect Provider ID(s)
- Your Wonderschool Integration Password
- Your KinderSystems login credentials
Depending on your state, the KinderConnect team can be reached at the following email addresses:

Step 2:
Log in to your Wonderschool account and click on Apps on the left navigation
Click on "Manage" on the KinderConnect card.
Step 3:
Click on "Connect your account"
Step 4:
Enter Provider ID and integration password that have been provided to you by KinderConnect/KinderSystems and click on "Log in"
NOTE: Your Login credentials to KinderConnect account on their website is separate from your Provider ID/Integration password so make sure you use the correct one.
Step 5:
After successfully logging in, you are able to see the list of students that are automatically matched between KinderConnect and Wonderschool using KinderConnect ID.
If there are any students that were not matched automatically, you can match them manually by clicking on "edit" and enter the student KinderConnect ID.
WARNING: This is a very important step! If there is any mismatch between the two systems, transfer of attendance data between Wonderschool and KinderConnect will fail.
Sending Attendance from Wonderschool to KinderConnect
After successful integration, you need to make sure you take attendance for your subsidy students using Wonderschool Check in/check out on the Wonderschool mobile app.
After each check out happens, we attempt to send the data automatically for THAT particular day.
We also send data on Mondays for the past week to catch any data modification that had happened after the data was sent and to ensure we capture every edits, we send data at the end of the month for the complete month.
You can view the reports of what has been transferred by clicking on "Reports". This report only shows attendance for the subsidy students that have been matched. You can choose different criteria to view the reports.
Please remember to check out students by the end of the day as we check out students automatically and that will be sent to KinderConnect! In that case, you can edit the information on the mobile app and we will send the data in the next week.
Statuses are:
Transferred: Data has been transferred to KinderConnect
Out of Sync: We have not sent the data to KinderConnect yet because there is no check out found yet or you have modified the data after transfer and the data needs to be re-transfer
Error: We can't send the data due to a mismatch of names or incorrect user name/password or if the data has already been submitted to the state.
If data is out of sync, you have the option to click on the status or Details and that will open up a modal where you can initiate a manual transfer of data!
KinderSystems then submit the report to your state based on their schedule times. Some states are on a monthly basis and some states such as Texas are on bi-weekly basis.
Please make sure when new students are added to KinderConnect on a regular basis, that you check and match them exactly (first, middle, last name and date of birth) with the records on Wonderschool or we will not be able to send those attendance records to KinderConnect.
