How to Choose Weekly Schedule Options

Nearly all of the Wonderschool schools offer families 2 day, 3 day, and 5 day options for enrollment. Schools tend to not offer 1 day or 4 day options because it’s very difficult to fill a 1 day option (so if you offer a 4 day option, then you could be left with 1 free day that will not get filled).

• If a school finds itself with a certain day being under enrolled, the director can ask parents who are currently enrolled for 2 days to pick up another day.
  
  
• For a teacher that only wants to work part time, instead of working half days, a great option can instead be to only offer classes 3 days per week, but for full days.
  
  
• Accepting children for part time does result in more total students, which means more time administratively, more time recruiting, more turn over, more materials at the school like cubbies, cots, dishware, etc.
  
  
• On the positive side, having a bigger parent community can lead to more word of mouth referrals, recommendations, etc.
