Checking in/out Students with the Wonderschool 2.0 App
If you are using Wonderschool 2.0, you can use the check in feature to take digital attendance. To download the app, use these links here.
There are two ways to check students into in Wonderschool 2.0. You can have staff check students in as themselves or on behalf of the parent, or you can have parents check students on their own phones, or a device shared by the provider or the program.
Checking in a Student
- Click on "Check in".
- Select student(s) to check in or select all students in the top right corner.
- By default, the signee is the person who is signed into the app, but as a director, the director can choose any other staff as the signee (teachers, staff admins, etc.).
- If a health pre-check is activated, the user will fill out pre-check questionnaire.
- Adjust date and time of check in if desired.
- Add notes for the check in log if desired
- Add the signature in the sign box.
- Click on "Check-in".
- You're done! You can view, edit, or delete the check in log on the student(s) profile(s).
To make the video full screen, click the screen icon in the bottom right corner!
Checking in a Student on behalf of a Parent/Guardian
- Click on "Check in.
- Select the student to check in.
- Click on “signee”.
- Select another staff member or someone who is marked as approved for pick up for the child.
- If you do not see the person listed, you need to add them in the student's profile in the dashboard for them to appear in the app. You can learn how to do that here.
- If a health pre-check is activated, fill out pre-check questionnaire.
- Adjust date and time of check in if desired.
- Add notes for the check in log if desired
- Add the signature in the sign box.
- Click on "Check-in".
- You're done! You can view, edit, or delete the check in log on the student(s) profile(s).

Checking Out a Student
- Click on "Check out".
- Select the student to check out.
- Click on “signee” to update who is signing out the student.
- Adjust date and time of check out if desired.
- Add notes for the check in log if desired
- Add the signature in the sign box.
- Click on "Check-out".
- You're done! You can view, edit, or delete the check out log on the student(s) profile(s).
To make the video full screen, click the screen icon in the bottom right corner!
To Mark a Student as Absent
- Click on "Absent".
- Select a student or student(s) to mark as absent.
- Adjust date and time if desired.
- Add notes for the check in log if desired
- Add the signature in the sign box.
- Click "Save".
- You're done! You can view, edit, or delete the absent log on the student(s) profile(s).
To make the video full screen, click the screen icon in the bottom right corner!
You will see the web dashboard update in real time! As you sign in children, you'll see the numbers change in each room.
