Parent Portal
Overview
The Wonderschool Parent Portal is designed to help parents manage child care searches, applications, enrollment, payments, and communication with prospective providers. This guide provides a detailed overview of the portal’s sections and how to use them effectively.

1. Home Dashboard
The Home section serves as the main hub where parents can:

Access saved programs.

Navigate to other sections like billing, messages, and documents.
- Select their child
- Search for programs
- Add a child
How to Use:
-
When you favorite a program through the program page, it will show up on the homepage

You can de-favorite a program by clicking on the red heart.

You can add a child by clicking on the plus sign on top of the page.
- You can search for program near you by typing the city, zip code, or program name on top of the page.
- If your child is enrolled in the program, the child's activity feed as well as their enrollment data will appear on the home page.

2. School Finder
The School Finder section helps parents explore available child care programs. Clicking on School Finder will open up a map where you can see the program near you.
Features:

Search by location or program name.

Apply filters such as age range, availability, budget, subsidies, and more.

View program listings with details such as pricing, schedule, and ratings.

Save programs by clicking the heart icon.
How to Use:
-
Enter a city, address, or ZIP code in the search bar.

Use filters to narrow down your search.
-
Click on a program to view details and schedule a tour or apply.
3. Child Profiles
Parents can manage their child's information in this section.
Features:
-
Add, edit, or remove child profiles.
-
Enter details such as name, gender, birthdate, and preferences.
-
Add additional contacts for emergency and pickup.
How to Use:

Click on Child Profiles from the left navigation.

Select an existing child or add a new child. If you have multiple children, you need to click on their photos on top of the page to select to view their profiles

Enter or update the child's details. As you enter the details, the information gets auto-saved automatically.
- If you like to add additional contact, you can add so under "Additional Contact". If you like the contact to be allowed for pick up or be an emergency contact, you can check box the appropriate boxes.
- When you child is enrolled in a program, their profile gets shared with the provider automatically.
4. Documents
This section is used for sharing and managing important documents.
Features:

If the child is enrolled in a program, providers can upload documents such as enrollment packages and program updates.

Parents can upload documents such as vaccination records and signed enrollment forms.
- Each child will have their own documents section.
How to Use:
- Document upload is only available for enrolled/pending enrollment students.

Navigate to the Documents tab.

Download any available provider documents.
-
Upload required documents by clicking the Upload files button.
- To get to another child's Documents, click on the child's name on top of the page.
- When a provider shares documents with you, you will receive an email notification.
5. Messages
The Messages section allows parents to keep track of communications with prospective child care providers.
Features:

Message providers about program details, tours, and enrollment.
-
View and manage conversations.
-
Once enrolled, messaging with the enrolled program is available only in the Parent Mobile App.
How to Use:
- On a program listing, click on "Message Director"
- Once message has been sent, you can keep track of the historical messages under Messages

Go to the Messages tab.
-
Select a conversation by clicking on a program.
-
Type your message and click Send Message.
6. Billing
The Billing section allows parents to manage invoices, statements, and payments.
Features:
-
Invoices: View and pay program fees as well ad download invoices/receipts

Statements: Download yearly payment summaries.
-
Payment Methods: Add or update payment options (ACH or credit card).
-
AutoPay: Enable or disable automatic payments.
How to Use:
Viewing and Paying Invoices:
-
Go to Billing > Invoices.
-
Check invoice details and payment status.
-
Click View and Pay for unpaid invoices.
- Click on Print / Download to print or download the invoice
Invoice statuses and their meanings:
-
Open
When an invoice has been sent to a parent and is autopay. No action required from parent
-
Due
When an invoice has been sent to a parent and is not autopay. Parent can then pay the invoice
-
Past due
Description: This invoice is unpaid and has past its due date of [due date]. Pay now to avoid any possible late fees.

Processing
Description: Payment has been charged and the payment is now processing.

Paid
Description: The invoice has been paid successfully.
-
Paid manually
Description: The invoice has been marked as paid by your provider.

Failed
Description: Something went wrong with your payment and we have failed to charge your payment method.
To view details on an invoice click on "View"
You will need to have a payment method added before you can pay for an invoice.
Downloading Yearly Statements:

Navigate to Billing > Statements.
-
Select a year and click View or Download.
Adding a Payment Method:

Go to Billing > Payment Methods.
-
Click Add Payment Method.
-
Enter your payment details and save. We accept ACH and credit card.
- After choosing the payment method, you can add the appropriate card information or bank information.
