Activity Type: Sending a Broadcast

Learn how to send a Broadcast and how it looks for parents

What is a Broadcast?

A Broadcast message allows all providers (admin, staff, etc.) to send a general message to every parent, regardless of room at the same time. This is typically used for: 

• Emergency notifications
• School closures
• Other bulletin-like messages that require a notification

How to get started

1. To access the Broadcast feature on the Wonderschool App, tap Activities on the navigation bar at the bottom of your phone screen.
2. Under Activities, tap the Broadcast icon.
3. Type your message and click Send Broadcast.

FAQ

How do I know if my parents are seeing my Broadcast?

Each Broadcast delivers a push notification and in-app alert. Users will not be able to do anything in the app without acknowledging the Broadcast.

Note that you may have to ensure that your parents turn on their notifications.
