Sending a mass message (Note) to all parents
Want all of your parents to see your latest updates? Find out how to send a note and how parents will see it in their Wonderschool App.
What is a Note?
A Note is similar to a bulletin that can be "sent" from a provider to multiple parents at one time. It is not a message (and will not show up as a new message), but it will display on the child's activity feed. Parents can turn on Push Notifications to inform them when a Note is posted.
When should I use a Note?
Typically, Providers will use Notes to send mass messages (e.g. School is closed this morning) or if they want to post something on a specific child's feed without making it a direct message for comment.
How to send a Note
- Select Activities from the bottom navigation.
- Under Activities, tap the Note icon.
- Select the student(s) to should receive a Note
- Adjust the date or time and type your message. Click Save and it will appear on the child's activity feed instantly.
FAQ
What does this actually look like? I'm a visual person.
No problem - take a look here at our demo video to see exactly where to add a Note and what it looks like on the activity feed.
I'm afraid parents won't see this. Is there a way to ensure that they get these messages?
Under settings, Parents can enable Push Notifications specifically for Notes, which will help them see whenever you add a Note to their child's feed.
