What is Wonderschool?
Wonderschool is a network of quality in-home child care programs and preschools across the US. We give directors of these programs the tools, resources, and support they need to successfully run their business. We process all payments on behalf of our programs. Learn more at wonderschool.com
What payment processor does Wonderschool use?
Most businesses that offer payment processing use a back end service. Very rarely do businesses build their own, although it does happen. We chose to partner with Stripe because of benefits that include: proven success and expertise in payment processing, fraud prevention, and the ability to scale our services. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Other large businesses that use Stripe for backend payment processing include Amazon, Google, Wayfair, and Instacart.
How do I change my card on file?
You can update your payment method through your Wonderschool account. For instructions on how to find this page in your Wonderschool account, see Change payment method.
Will you send me a reminder email about upcoming payments?
Yes. You will receive an email reminder about monthly payments a few days before your scheduled payment date.
My reminder email has an incorrect amount. What should I do? Why did this happen?
Contact the director of your child’s program as soon as possible and cc: hello@wonderschool.com. Explain why the amount is incorrect. The director will be able to correct this amount as long as you contact her or him before your scheduled payment date, when it will be charged.
Wonderschool automatically generates payments each month based on the information we have about your child's schedule in our system. The director of the program is responsible for keeping your child's information up to date so that payments are accurately generated.
Does tuition automatically update when my child has a birthday?
Many Wonderschool programs have different tuition rates depending on your child’s age. Some programs choose to charge one rate throughout the entire school year based on your child’s age at the beginning of the school year. Other programs change rates immediately upon your child’s birthday.
Because this policy varies from program to program, our payments system does not automatically update for tuition rate changes on birthdays. Check your program’s website to see if your child has an upcoming birthday (typically their second) that will change your tuition rate. You can view your program's website by logging into your Wonderschool account, clicking on My Programs, and clicking on your program.
You can also ask the director of your program about their tuition change policy. The director can then easily update the child’s tuition if necessary. Make sure to do this a month or two before your child’s birthday so any necessary changes can be made before you pay tuition in your child’s birth month.
I want to change my schedule. How do I do this?
Contact the director of your child’s program as soon as possible. Tuition payments are collected on your scheduled payment date for the next month’s tuition. So, any changes in schedule must be reported before your scheduled payment date if they are to take effect next month. For example, if you want to change your child’s schedule starting sometime in November, make sure to tell the director before your scheduled payment date in October (ideally much sooner)!
How do I see my next payment date?
You can see all your payment history and any upcoming payments on the Invoice History page in your Wonderschool account. For instructions on how to find this page in your account, see View invoice history.
We're unenrolling. Will I get my deposit back?
Please refer to your program’s Parent Handbook. Wonderschool programs require either 30 days or 60 days advance notice when unenrolling a child; giving appropriate notice will allow your deposit to be applied to your last month of tuition. If you do not give adequate notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

I was charged the wrong amount! What should I do?
Contact the director of your child’s program as soon as possible and cc: hello@wonderschool.com. If you are owed a refund, Wonderschool will confirm this with the director and process your refund.
In the future, make sure to check the amount in the reminder email you receive a few days before your scheduled payment date (typically has the subject “Upcoming Wonderschool tuition payment”). Directors can correct this amount before it is charged.

I was issued a refund. When will it reappear on my card?
Wonderschool processes all refunds. Once the refund is initiated, you should receive an email confirming the refund process has begun. Funds will typically appear back on your card in about 5 - 7 working days.
My child is enrolling or unenrolling mid-month. Will my tuition be prorated?
Yes, partial months are prorated when enrolling. If you are unenrolling, your tuition may be prorated if you have given your program proper notice of your unenrollment. Check your Parent Handbook for your program's unenrollment policy.

We are taking a vacation this year. Do I have to pay during the time we're gone?
