What to Do if a Child Doesn't Have Required Immunizations
As you begin touring families, you might meet some families who do not have their children immunized and wonder if you can accept them.
The only way to legally take a child that doesn't have the required immunizations is if that child has a letter from their primary care physician stating that they are exempt for medical reasons:
"The only certain exception to the law is for a child who has a medical exemption, which is a note from a doctor attesting that the child’s health condition prohibits vaccinations."
